Environmental Charter

As part of its commitment to environmental responsibility, the Festival strives to reduce the ecological impact of its activities and to promote sustainable practices across all areas of its organization.

Reducing Paper Use

The Festival prioritizes digital communication in order to significantly limit paper consumption. Festival materials such as posters, catalogs, and press kits are made freely available online, along with schedules accessible via the Festival’s mobile application.

When printing is necessary, the Festival ensures the use of FSC-certified paper sourced from responsibly managed forests. Efforts are also made to encourage online ticketing and the use of e-tickets, thereby reducing the need for printed materials.

Sustainable Mobility

The Festival actively promotes more sustainable modes of transportation. Guests are encouraged to travel by train whenever possible, in order to reduce reliance on air and car travel.

The official Festival vehicle fleet reflects this commitment, consisting predominantly of hybrid and electric vehicles. In addition, shuttle services are organized based on carpooling principles to facilitate travel between venues for guests and team members throughout the Festival.

Waste Management

The Festival implements selective waste sorting across its offices and main venues, including Plaza Arthouse Cinema, Imagix Mons, and Van der Valk Congress Hotel Mons.

Through these actions, the Festival is committed to continuous improvement of its environmental performance and to contributing to a more sustainable cultural sector.
